HOUSTON — The communities northwest of the Houston metro area could see some icy conditions overnight as the cold, rainy weather continues with the start of the work week, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.

There is an 80 percent chance for rain Monday as showers move through Southeast Texas. However, with overnight lows in the low-30s for communities like Conroe and Brenham, the conditions are ideal for sleet.

The Houston metro area will see overnight lows in the upper-30s. Temps will not warm up much with highs peaking at 42 Monday afternoon.

Tuesday will feature more of the same with 50 percent chance of rain and lows in the mid-30s.

Highs will remain steady through the first half of the work week with temps peaking in the upper-40s.

There is a chance we could see a freeze for the Thanksgiving holiday with temps dropping down to the upper-20s. Highs are not likely to reach into the 60s until Friday.
