HOUSTON -- It will be warm and muggy Wednesday evening in the Houston area with a small chance for isolated showers until 8 p.m., according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

We’ll top out in the upper-80s Wednesday night with only a 20-percent chance for isolated showers.

Starting Thursday a bigger rain chance moves in, and on Friday and Saturday the chance jumps to 40-percent.

Some parts of town could see storms prior to the fireworks on July 4th.

The rain chance lingers through the weekend and into next week.

Tropical Storm Arthur has formed off the east coast of Florida – it will have no impact on Texas. The forecast track from the National Hurricane Center keeps it as an East Coast storm. It’s expected to strengthen and could become a hurricane.
