HOUSTON – The humidity is on the rise Monday evening as moisture continues to collect ahead of severe weather expected for the middle of this week, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Overnight temperatures will hover in the mid-60s and will rise to about 69 degrees for the Tuesday morning commute.
Tuesday will be warmer than Monday with a high of 83 and sustained winds of about 20 mph out of the south.
Houston area will see severe weather in the form of thunderstorms with hail and straight-line winds Wednesday evening. There is 50-percent chance for rain Wednesday and a 40 percent chance on Thursday.
