HOUSTON – Early morning temperatures across southeast Texas were already in the upper-70s before the sun came up on Friday, and it’s only getting hotter from there.

Today’s forecast high is 97 degrees with a 20-percent chance for isolated showers in the afternoon.

The rain chance continues on Saturday as some clouds linger over the weekend, but it will still be mostly sunny and hot.

On Father’s Day there will be a very light breeze with a high temp around 96 degrees.

Next week our overnight temperatures stay in the mid- to upper-70s. Our daytime temperatures will be in the mid- to-upper 90s with no significant chance for rain.
