HOUSTON – The weather in the Houston area on Thursday will be hot and muggy which is a trend that will last the rest of the week.
Our early-morning temperatures will go from the mid-70s to the mid-90s by this afternoon. There's no chance for rain today.
"The temperatures are starting to rise as we get closer to the holiday weekend," said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez. "We're sitting below a high-pressure dome, which means areas north of Houston will be even hotter today."
Daytime temperatures will top out around 98 degrees on Saturday.
A few more clouds enter the forecast at the start of next week, bringing back a slight chance for rain. Next week's temps stay warm and muggy, however.
