HOUSTON – Hot, humid weather makes its return to the Houston area this week as we begin to experience 90-degree temps on a regular basis, according to KHOU 11 News Mario Gomez.
While temps never reached 90 in May, we should see highs reach 91 beginning on Tuesday.
Temperatures will start off in the mid-70s on Monday with the chance for some ground fog. Later in the afternoon, we will see highs get closer to 90 with temps peaking at 89.
Hurricane season started Sunday and we will be keeping an eye on the tropics. Some of our models are projecting activity in the Bay of Campeche this week so be sure to check with the KHOU 11 News Weather Team for any updates.
After a rainy end to May, the chance for rain won’t return until next weekend with some stray showers.
