HOUSTON -- Memorial Day is almost here, so that means it’s getting warmer outside, and we’re just about a week away from the start of the Atlantic hurricane season, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Forecasters on Thursday predicted an above-average hurricane season.
Looking at this holiday weekend, things will be hot, humid, and sticky with afternoon temperatures around 90 degrees for the next several days. The humidity will make it feel warmer than that, however. Overnight lows will be in the mid-70s.
“If you’re getting a jump start on your weekend travel plans, good news, there are no delays due to weather anywhere in the nation,” said Johnson.
There’s a 20-percent chance for isolated showers through Monday, but our skies will still be mostly sunny.
There’s no significant chance for rain or clouds in the seven-day forecast.
