HOUSTON –- Temperatures will be well into the 90s on Wednesday afternoon across southeast Texas, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
"We are tracking showers in North Texas, unfortunately they are dying out before they even get to I-20 in the Dallas metro area," said Gomez.
Wednesday afternoon we’ll top out in the upper-90s under mostly sunny skies.
The sunny, hot weather continues for the next several days, and we could hit 100 degrees this weekend.
Looking to the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Dorian formed early Wednesday with maximum sustained winds at 50 mph. The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said no coastal watches or warnings were issued. It’s too soon to tell if the tropical system will have any effect on the U.S., but it's something to keep an eye on heading into next week.
