HOUSTON -– Friday will be another hot and muggy day in the Houston area with a chance for scattered showers, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“Not everyone is going to get some rain today,” said Johnson. “We could see early-morning showers along the coast and then showers further inland later this afternoon. Keep in mind you only have about a 30-percent chance of seeing some showers today.”
It’ll be hot with a mix of sun and clouds for the next several days.
The 30-percent chance for rain continues through the upcoming weekend with forecast daytime highs in the mid-90s.
Next week there’s a slight increase in the rain chances due to tropical moisture coming in off the Gulf.
Out in the Caribbean, Gabrielle lost its tropical storm status early Thursday. While it brought heavy rain to Puerto Rico, it's now expected to fall apart into a low-pressure system.
