HOUSTON – Tailgating at the Houston Texans game will require an umbrella and even a canopy as storms move through the area Sunday, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.

A slow moving cold front will continue to stack tropical moisture Saturday night and Sunday morning bringing heavy showers to the Houston area for most of Sunday. Expect lows in the mid-60s and highs in the mid-70s with a 60 percent chance of rain on a very muggy Sunday.

The area could receive as much as a half-inch of rain by the end of the weekend. The showers should be clear of the area by Sunday evening.
