HOUSTON – A heat advisory for the Houston area is in effect until through Tuesday, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
The advisory affects portions of Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Harris, Jackson, Liberty and Matagorda counties as the work week got off to a hot start on Monday.
Temperatures Tuesday morning will be in the high-70s and will increase to the upper-90s.
“It is going to another very hot day,” Paul said.
Temps are expected to top off at 100 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.
This weekend a chance for rain returns and the temperatures drop about five degrees.
