HOUSTON – A Heat Advisory has been issued for Monday in the coastal counties as the Houston area continues to experience near-100 degree temperatures this week, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.
The advisory will last from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday as temperatures and humidity will push the heat index to 108. Highs for the Houston area will peak in the upper-90s Monday afternoon.
An upper-level high pressure system has kept southeast Texas dry for the last several days and will continue to do so for the next week.
Through the middle of the week, we could see temperatures hit triple-digits with overnight lows in upper-70s.
