HOUSTON—Get ready Houston, snow could actually begin Thursday afternoon, 11 News Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman said.
“Many neighborhoods north of town may not get above freezing and that’s going to help them see the snow accumulate a little bit faster,” he said.
He said areas north of town are estimated to see three to five inches of snow, while Houston and southern areas will see two to four inches. Areas closer to the coast will likely see a mix of sleet and snow, with about an inch of snow possible.
The seven-day forecast shows we won’t thaw out until about midday Saturday, and that’s when the sun will come out. The highs jump back into the lower 60s Sunday.
