HOUSTON -- The National Weather Service has issued a Hard Freeze Warning until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The warning is for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, Grimes, Harris, Houston, Liberty, Madison, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller and Washington counties.
KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul says Tuesday overnight temperatures will drop to the mid-20s.
"The threat for ice in the morning is minimal," said Paul.
The rain will be gone by Wednesday, but it will still be very cold in the early-morning hours -- in the 20s and 30s -- with a forecast high of 45 degrees.
Thursday morning will also be very cold, but warmer temperatures are on the way for the weekend.
