HOUSTON – A dense fog advisory is in effect for the Houston area through the morning hours, and Friday afternoon there’s a chance for another round of rain.

KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson says we’ll top out in the mid-80s this afternoon with a 30-percent chance for rain. There's also a chance for isolated thunderstorms -- mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.

“We are starting off this morning with a dense fog advisory,” said Johnson. “The fog is widespread, but the good news is, it’s going to be gorgeous this weekend.”

Starting Saturday there will be just a few clouds in the sky with high temps in the upper-70s. Overnight lows will be around 60 degrees.

The pleasant conditions continue through at least next Tuesday.

A slight chance for rain returns in the middle of next week.

Have a great weekend, friends.
