HOUSTON -- Warmer temperatures are on the way to the Houston area, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

We were in the 30s across town in the early morning hours today, and we topped out around 63 degrees Thursday afternoon under partly cloudy skies.

Thursday overnight lows will be the same as yesterday’s high.

Friday we’ll start off in the 50s, and we’ll be back in the 70s for our daytime highs through the weekend. On Sunday, we could hit 80 degrees.

There’s a chance for rain through the weekend and for the start of your workweek.

Our next cool front will move through town Monday into Tuesday, leaving us with clear skies and chilly temperatures.
