HOUSTON – Expect big changes in the forecast for this weekend as rain returns on Saturday, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
Overnight we will see lows clouds slowly move in as the moisture begins to build up in the Houston area. Temperatures will start out in the 50s Saturday morning in what will be a dreary beginning to the weekend.
There is 30 percent chance of rain with highs peaking in the mid-60s, but Sunday is slated to be the wetter of the two days.
By 6 a.m. on Sunday, the coastal counties will start seeing some storms develop in the area with temps in the 50s again. By 10 a.m., the storms will move through the Houston metro area.
The storms will be strong with some wind gusts, but severe weather is not expected at this time. They should clear the area by Monday morning giving way to clear skies and warmer temps.
