HOUSTON –- It’s going to be a cold, wet Tuesday to what will eventually be a beautiful Thanksgiving week in the Houston area, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Temperatures will be in the upper-30s and low-40s across southeast Texas early Tuesday morning. There’s an 80-percent chance for rain with a forecast high of only 42 degrees.
The rain chances will start to decrease in the afternoon hours, but it will remain very cold.
"Tuesday could be the coldest day of the week,” Paul said.
By Wednesday and Thursday the rain will be gone, but things will remain chilly with daytime temperatures in the 40s and 50s. Early Thanksgiving morning the temperature will be around 29 degrees and there is a forecast high of 55 degrees..
The cool temps and clear skies continue through the weekend.
”There is a slow warming trend going into the weekend,” Paul said.
