HOUSTON -- The cold temperatures and rainy weather will continue in the Houston area on Tuesday as we prepare for a couple changes later this week, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

Later tonight into Monday morning we’ll bottom out in the mid-30s as the chance for rain increases to 80-percent.

It will stay cold in the daytime hours Tuesday.

“All we’ll have is rain – no wintry weather to be found here, but it will be wet and cold,” said Garner. “The good news is, the weather is looking good this weekend, so we have a lot to look forward to weather-wise.”

Wednesday the rain starts to clear out, but the chilly temps stick around until Thursday.

Later this week through the weekend the sun returns along with daytime temps in the 60s and 70s.
