HOUSTON – A cold front heads to the Houston area Thursday morning, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Thursday brings a 40-percent chance for rain as a cold front moves in during the morning hours.
“It will be mild early in the morning,” Paul said. “But by 9 a.m. the front will reach downtown Houston.”
Thursday morning temps kick off in the upper-60s and temps will fall to the mid-50s in the afternoon.
Overnight into Friday morning the temperatures will drop into the 40s. It’ll remain cold and cloudy with rain possible through the weekend.
Starting Saturday, it’ll be downright chilly in the Houston area with daytime temperatures only in the 40s and overnight lows in the mid-30s.
By Tuesday the clear skies return but the cold temps stick around.
