HOUSTON – There’s an increasing chance for rain as we head into our afternoon hours on Wednesday, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
A cold front is slowly making its way through southeast Texas. In the morning on Wednesday, we’ll only have a 10-percent chance for rain. This afternoon we’ll have a 40-percent chance.
“We started off mostly dry this morning with partly cloudy skies,” said Johnson. “Clouds will continue to thicken up as we move into this afternoon. Take your umbrella with you.”
Chita said the cloud coverage is keeping things a little muggy today, so it won't be until Thursday morning when we'll feel the "chilly" air.
On Thursday, there’s a 20-percent chance for rain with an early-morning low of 58 degrees, a drop of more than 10 degrees from the morning before.
Scattered rain continues heading into the weekend as our daytime temps stay in the low- to mid-70s.
