HOUSTON — After starting out wet and soggy, the weather will be cooler and drier this weekend after Saturday’s cold front, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
The Houston area received about half an inch of rain in most places Saturday after a line of thunderstorms moved through ahead of the cold front. With the cooler air, expect to see temps start off in the low-50s Sunday morning with some stray clouds.
Highs will not get much warmer, peaking at 59 in the afternoon.
Highs will hover in the 50s for the holiday week with lows in the 30s, roughly 10 to 15 degrees lower than normal for this time of year. We could see some freezing temps come Christmas Eve and even on Monday.
