HOUSTON –- Veterans Day started off cool, but temperatures will warm up nicely this afternoon, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

Early this morning we bottomed out in the low-50s across town.

“Temperatures this afternoon are going to climb – just picture perfect,” said Johnson. “It will be a nice afternoon in the low to mid-70s, but we have some big changes on the way later this week.”

On Tuesday there’s a 10-percent chance for rain.

Wednesday the temperatures drop to the mid-30s in the early morning and only in the mid-50s in the afternoon. Thursday will also be chilly.

On Friday a chance for rain returns through the weekend as the daytime temperatures climb back into the 60s and 70s.
