HOUSTON –- The Houston area will enjoy much cooler temperatures in the morning hours and a nice warm-up heading into the afternoon, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
There were very light showers across town in the early-morning hours, but the rest of the day should be pretty dry.
Temperatures bottomed out in the upper-50s and low-60s early Thursday. This afternoon we’ll top out around 75 degrees.
“The clouds will start to break apart, so we’ll start to get a peek at the sun later today,” said Johnson.
On Friday there’s a 30-percent chance for rain with a high of 73 degrees. The rain continues Saturday with a forecast high of 72 degrees.
By early next week our daytime temperatures will start to climb back into the low-80s under mostly sunny skies.
