HOUSTON -- Some bridges and overpasses iced over north and west of Houston early Tuesday, but conditions should start to approve in the mid-morning hours, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“Driving until 9 a.m. will likely be very slick, so if you can stay home until then it’ll be in your best interest,” said Johnson. “Most of the rain is going to move out after that time.”
Early Tuesday we were in the low-30s across town with a 70-percent chance for rain. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of our viewing area until 11 a.m.
This afternoon we’ll top out in the low-40s with only a 30-percent chance for rain.
The rain will be gone by our early evening hours, leaving us with partly cloudy skies.
The rest of this week is looking nicer with partly cloudy skies and daytime temps in the 60s and 70s through the weekend.
