HOUSTON -- The Houston area experienced its coldest temperatures of the winter on Friday morning with lows in the 20s and 30s across town, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“The National Weather Service last night issued a hard freeze warning for areas north of town,” said Johnson. “The warning was set to expire at 9 a.m. Friday.”
This afternoon we’ll top out in the mid-50s under sunny skies, but a slight breeze will make it feel colder.
The clear skies carry over into Saturday before a slight rain chance returns on Sunday and Monday.
Temperatures this weekend will be in the 50s and 60s with early morning temperatures in the 40s.
Next week is looking nice and cool with another arctic blast expected to arrive Monday into Tuesday. Early Tuesday morning our temperatures could once again be in the 20s.
