HOUSTON – Breezy and cloudy conditions made for a chilly start to the workweek across southeast Texas, and the cold temperatures will continue Monday night, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
We’ll only top out in the upper-40s Monday afternoon.
“We’re looking at cloudy and cool weather through tomorrow,” said Garner. “It will be briefly mild on New Year’s Day and then some cooler weather will return once again.”
Tuesday will be a little sunnier with early-morning temperatures in the mid-30s and daytime highs in the mid-50s.
On New Year’s Day the clouds return along with a 30-percent chance for rain. The rain carries over into Thursday before clearing out.
Overnight temperatures will remain cold through the weekend, but in our daytime hours Saturday and Sunday we’ll be in the mid-60s.
