HOUSTON -- Temperatures in Southeast Texas will hover just below 90 for the start of the work week, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be very nice with clear skies and overnight lows in the 60s and daytime temps in the mid-80s.
Later this week, clouds return to the Houston area along with a chance for rain starting on Thursday.
"Looking at this upcoming weekend, overnight lows stay in the 60s and 70s," said Johnson. "We are still about seven to eight inches below average on our rainfall totals, so the chance for rain is good news."
Our greatest chance for rain will be on Friday and Saturday, but we won't get much relief from the heat.
By Sunday the rain chance decreases back to 20-percent.
