HOUSTON -- Get outside and enjoy the nice weather on Friday evening, because you might need to pull out those umbrellas this weekend, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Friday kicked off with a little patchy fog, but the evening is expected to clear up quite nicely.
Again, like Thursday, there is a 20-percent chance for rain, but it should not put a damper on anything you have planned this evening.
But this weekend, the rain chances increase.
“We will be on tropic throughout the entire holiday weekend,” Gomez said. “We don’t see any breaks until the middle of the week.”
Tropical activity out in the Gulf will start to drift inland and, beginning Saturday evening through Tuesday, there is a chance for widespread rain.
Rain chances will be at 40 percent on Saturday, 60 percent on Sunday and Monday, and 50 percent on Tuesday.
