HOUSTON – After a chilly start, we’ll top out near 70 degrees Tuesday afternoon in the Houston area, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
We saw near-record lows overnight with some parts of town bottoming out in the low-40s. The wind chill factor made it feel like we were in the mid-30s, however.
“Everyone will likely need a coat out the door this morning, but dress in layers because by this afternoon we’ll be pleasantly cool,” said Johnson. “We’ll all end the day under mostly sunny skies.”
Wednesday will be the same with chilly early-morning temperatures and a nice afternoon.
On Thursday the temperatures start to climb again, and on Friday the clouds return.
There’s a slight chance for scattered rain starting Friday through the weekend.
Our daytime highs will be back at 80 degrees just in time for the weekend.
