HOUSTON — Sunday's chilly start will give way to a sun-filled day come this afternoon, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
“Some of the coolest air of the season will push temperatures into the mid-40s overnight, followed by a gorgeous, sun-filled afternoon with afternoon highs reaching close to 70 degrees,” Garner said.
“It’ll be ideal for any outdoor activities, and my midmorning, you’ll be able to ditch that extra layer.”
The humidity and the daytime heat return early next week with a chance for rain starting Monday. Temps next week will be in the upper-70s and low-80s.
“Early week, temperatures warm-up rapidly ahead of a rainy storm system slated to arrive midweek. Another push of cooler air is on tape by late next week,” Garner said
While you’ll enjoy the extra hour on Sunday, be prepared to lose some daylight as the sun will set shortly before 6 p.m. starting next week.
