HOUSTON – A fresh cold front that moved in early Sunday morning will keep temperatures below average through Tuesday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

Overnight lows for Sunday evening and Monday morning will drop down to 52, about 12 degrees below normal for this time of the year.

Expect to see sunny days and mild temperatures this week starting with a high of 79 on Monday afternoon.

After a mild dry start to the work week, on-shore winds will bring back enough moisture for isolated showers by the start of next weekend.
