HOUSTON -- A Hard Freeze Warning was in effect for the Houston area overnight, leaving us with a chilly start to the day Wednesday, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“We’re going to slowly transition into the temperatures that we should have for this time of year,” said Johnson. “The clouds are going to continue to break apart, and I am expecting sunshine by later this afternoon.”
We were in the 20s and 30s across town early Wednesday morning. This afternoon we’ll top out around 45 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Thursday’s forecast calls for another chilly start to the day with a daytime high around 60 degrees.
On Friday afternoon we’ll get into the 70s as a few clouds return.
There’s a slight chance for rain this weekend as daytime temps drop from the 70s to the 60s for the start of our next workweek.
Next week our overnight lows will be in the low-50s and our afternoon highs will be in the mid-60s.
