HOUSTON – Much of southeast Texas fell into another hard freeze overnight into Tuesday morning, but big changes are on the way, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
“The cold weather here is just about over,” Garner said. “We are on a warming trend.”
Tuesday evening temps will be a chilly 42 degrees and overnight temps will be in the upper-30s.
Wednesday there’s a 20-percent chance for rain with early-morning temps in the upper-30s. In the afternoon we’ll top out near 60 degrees.
Thursday and Friday there’s a 50-percent chance for rain with daytime temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
This weekend things cool off and clear out with daytime temps around 60 and overnight lows around 40.
