HOUSTON – A slight chance for rain lingers through the weekend, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Temps started off Saturday morning in the mid-70s and will top off at 92 degrees with a 30-percent rain chance in the afternoon. Isolated rain showers started in the morning. We could see some thunder showers develop in the afternoon in southwest Houston.
The chance for rain will linger through the next few days as tropical moisture continues to build up off the coast.
Looking to the tropics, Hurricane Arthur is making its way back out to sea after making landfall overnight in North Carolina. It dropped several inches of rain before moving back to sea. It’s expected to stay close to the East Coast but will not make landfall again.
