HOUSTON — There is a small chance for severe storms this weekend as temperatures continue to warm up, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Saturday started off with cloudy skies, which will stick around for the rest of the day with temps approaching the upper-80s. It will be a breezy Saturday.
Come Sunday, we could be pushing 90 degrees. There is also a small chance for severe storms north and northwest of Houston Sunday afternoon. There’s a 30-percent chance of rain, but the storms should clear out by the evening.
The chance for rain continues into Monday with highs expected to reach the low-90s.
On Tuesday the skies start to clear out, and on Wednesday our daytime temperatures drop back into the mid-70s.
Early Wednesday and Thursday morning we could be looking at temps in the mid-50s thanks to the arrival of a cold front.
