HOUSTON — The chance for rain remains low for the Houston area as showers along the coast begin to diminish Monday afternoon, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner said.

There’s only a 20 percent chance for isolated showers throughout the day, so don’t expect to get any significant rainfall.

Temperatures will peak this afternoon at 95 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

Later this week the chance for isolated showers continues, but by the weekend our temperatures will be even hotter as we near 100 degrees.
