HOUSTON – Friday will stay cloudy and muggy with a slight chance for showers and storms later in the day, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

“The main problem is a slight threat for isolated storms north and northeast of the Houston metro area,” said Gomez. “We’re seeing some showers develop in North Texas, and it will continue to move south with the arrival of a front later this afternoon and tonight.”

There’s a 30-percent chance for rain Friday with a forecast high of 82 degrees.

This weekend is looking really nice.

Starting Saturday there will be just a few clouds in the sky with high temps in the upper-70s. Overnight lows will be around 60 degrees.

The pleasant conditions continue through at least next Tuesday.

A slight chance for rain returns in the middle of next week.
