HOUSTON –- A cool front brought scattered rain to southeast Texas on Wednesday, and KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner says we’re in for a big cooldown overnight into Thursday morning.
Many parts of town made it to 80 degrees before the front pushed through, so the chilly temps won’t be felt until the clouds clear out and the sun goes down. Wednesday night we’ll have temps in the 50s and 60s across the area.
Our early-morning temperatures on Thursday will bottom out around 50 degrees for most parts of town.
“The showers will clear as the front moves eastbound, and that will usher in much cooler air and windy conditions for Thursday,” said Garner. “The wind will die out by Friday, leaving us with a beautiful, sunny autumn airmass.”
Thursday we’ll top out around 66 degrees before another overnight cooldown drops us into the 40s for Friday morning.
The daytime temperatures will stay pleasant through the weekend, but it will start to warm up with the return of light, scattered rain early next week.
