HOUSTON -- Friday evening brought pop-up showers to the Houston area, but it is expected to be pleasant through the weekend, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
A Flood Warning was in effect overnight until 7:18 a.m. Saturday morning for Harris County.
”The weekend should still be beautiful,” Paul said. "Don't let these storms scare you, the weekend is safe."
Saturday and Sunday our daytime temperatures will be in the low- to mid-70s, and cool overnight temps in the upper-40s and low-50s will continue for the next several days.
The humidity and the daytime heat return early next week with a chance for rain starting Monday. Temps next week will be in the upper-70s and low-80s.
It's fall, so it's time to "fall back!" Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. While you'll enjoy the extra hour on Sunday, be prepared to lose some daylight as the sun will set shortly before 6 p.m. starting next week.
