HOUSTON -- You will not see rain in the course of the next 24 hours, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Muggy conditions will be present Friday morning.
“It is drier in Houston compared to the southern and western part of the state,” Gomez said.
Temperatures will reach a high of 97 degrees on Friday with a 20-percent chance of showers.
Do not expect much relief from the heat on Father's Day. Temperatures will top off at 95 degrees.
“Try to think of creative ways to get dad cool this weekend,” Gomez said. “Nice tall glass of iced tea might work.”
