HOUSTON — Expect to see more sunshine Sunday after the weekend got off to a dreary start Saturday, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.
Most of Saturday’s cloud coverage should clear the area by Sunday with overnight temps in the upper-30s.
The return of the sunny skies will allow for temps to reach up into the mid-60s Sunday afternoon.
But on Monday, the daytime temperatures drop by about 10 degrees after another Canadian cold front pushes through Sunday night.
There will also be a slight chance of rain Monday and Tuesday.
Our early-morning temperatures next week will be in the low- to mid-30s. New Year’s Eve is looking clear, which means weather won’t get in the way of Houston-area fireworks shows.
