HOUSTON - Parts of the Houston area received as much as an inch of rain overnight as News Year is off to a soggy start, KHOU11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.
Most of the major showers have cleared, but keep an umbrella handy as there will still be some isolated showers Tuesday.
There is a 30 percent chance rain for New Year’s Day with temperatures expected to peak at 59.
