HOUSTON -- Houston started off chilly on Thursday morning, but it will warm up nicely this afternoon, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

We’ll top off near 70 degrees this afternoon under sunny skies.

Friday will be a little cooler with early-morning temperatures in the low-40s and daytime temps near 60.

“We have a weak front moving in that will drop our daytime temperatures by about 10 degrees Friday,” said Johnson.

Saturday and Sunday things warm up again as more clouds move into the forecast. There’s a very slight chance for rain on Sunday.

Next week the cloud coverage increases as afternoon high temperatures increase a few more degrees, taking us into the low-70s.
