HOUSTON – The Houston area could see another round of scattered showers Sunday as we try to enjoy the first official weekend of summer, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
There is a 40 percent chance of rain Sunday with the possibility that showers could move in from the west around 8 a.m.
The showers are likely to push through the Houston metro area around lunchtime before clearing out to the Gulf Sunday afternoon.
Expect to see temps start out in the upper-70s again before warming up to the low-90s. However, the humidity will make it feel much hotter, so be careful about being out in the sun during peak hours.
We’ll top out in the low- to mid-90s for the next several days. However, early next week a new chance for rain moves in.
By next Wednesday and Thursday scattered showers could cool our temperatures a bit for next weekend.
