HOUSTON – The Houston area will see near-record lows for Tuesday morning after Monday’s front brought in unseasonably cold weather, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul said.
Tuesday will start off with lows in the upper-30s, which will be about 10 degrees lower than normal for this time of year. Paul said you may need an extra cup of coffee in the morning to keep you warm as the north wind we make it feel like it is freezing.
We will see clear and sunny skies throughout the day, but temperatures will struggle to get above 60. It will be about 15 degrees below normal for our usual highs in April.
Lows drop back down into the 40s Tuesday night. Expect temps to warm up to the 70s starting on Wednesday.
Clouds and light rain return on Friday and Saturday.
