HOUSTON — After a soggy Saturday, today will be cooler and drier thanks to a cold front that has come in overnight, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Sunday morning kicked off with lows in the 50s and highs are expected to top off near 60 degrees. There will be just a few stray showers in the morning, but the afternoon is expected to be dry.
The Houston area received about half an inch of rain in most places Saturday after a line of thunderstorms moved through ahead of the cold front.
Highs will hover in the 50s for the holiday week with lows in the 30s, roughly 10 to 15 degrees lower than normal for this time of year. We could see some freezing temps come Christmas Eve and even on Monday.
