HOUSTON -- Much of southeast Texas woke up to scattered showers early Monday and many in the Houston area saw hail falling. It's not over just yet, the wet weather is expected to carry over into Tuesday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
"We've seen pockets of developing thunderstorms, and within those thunderstorms, we've seen some strong winds, heavy downpours and also some hail," Johnson said. "It's really not creating a big problem because most of it moves through the area so quickly."
There’s about a 30- to 40-percent chance of rain for the rest of the day. Our afternoon temps will top out in the upper-60s.
