NORTHEAST HARRIS COUNTY— The Sheldon Independent School District alerted parents at all 10 of their campuses after an attempted kidnapping of a student on Monday morning at C.E. King High School.

The incident happened at 7 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Tidwell Road and Park Trail Drive.

The 10th-grader said a man in a dark blue or black extended cab pick-up got out his truck and followed her on foot as she walked to school.

Eventually, he caught up and grabbed her.

The student said she managed to get away but not before noticing the man had on a dark blue hoodie with yellow letters and was wearing a half mask covering his nose and mouth.

Students remained concerned after what happened to their classmate.

"I was thinking I don't wanna walk home by myself because if this could happen to her, it could happen to anyone," Jazzmine Prater, a junior student, said.

Parents with the Sheldon ISD got the robocall warning them about the incident.

If you have any information to help authorities in this case, you're being asked to call Harris County Constables in Precinct 3 at (281) 427-4791.
