HOUSTON – A pilot had to land his plane on its belly in Galveston after the landing gear failed to lock up.
It happened just after 6 p.m. at Scholes Airport, formerly known as Scholes Field.
The pilot was not injured.
The plane was being towed away for inspection and repair.
